Sugar Plum Fairy Dust is a whimsical mixture of Arrowroot Powder, Kaolin Clay, and Iridescent Mica that magickally transforms grease and oil into a radiant matte glow, with a subtle hue of violet shimmer, or can be applied heavily for a more dramatic purple opalescent gleam. Choose from 5 grams in an eco-kraft zero waste container, which includes a reusable powder puff or 5 grams in a ziplock baggie (no shaker or puff)  *AS of May 2025- The containers for all our dusting powders will now be plain brown Kraft cardboard, labels remain the same as in the listing photos.

*Eco Shaker Lids Are Fragile*
The shaker lids work great but are fragile, that’s the tradeoff for plastic free containers. The shaker portion of the container will cave in if excessive pressure is applied. The shaker lid cannot be removed. If taken off, it cannot be put back on again. If the shaker becomes clogged, use a safety or straight pin to gently remove debris, touching the shaker lid as little and as gently as possible*

SUGGESTED APPLICATION
Remove the cover and upturn it like a bowl in which to shake a bit of the powder. Use the provided puff or your own make up brush of choice to collect the powder from the upturned cover and apply wherever you choose. Works very well as a finishing powder on the T-zone area.

It’s thought that at the time Tchaikovsky crowned the Sugar Plum Fairy into his famous ballet (adapted from a short story written by E.T.A. Hoffmann in 1816) Sugar Plums referred to any sort of candy or sweet.

In my mind, Sugar Plums and the Sugar Plum Fairy aren’t something tangible, but more of the feeling of childish glee, wonder and excitement that came with being a kid around the holidays- when the whole neighborhood suddenly lights up in a rainbow of sparkling colors and decorations transform the mundane into something magickal.
