The Art Behind Every Perfume

Every Stardust & Stems fragrance begins with a story.

Before a label takes shape, I’ve already spent hours imagining the world it belongs to, its atmosphere, its colors, and the tiny details that make it feel alive. For me, the perfume and the artwork are never separate. They’re two halves of the same creative vision.

Just as I personally formulate every fragrance, I also personally design every label. It’s a process that I genuinely love- layering, editing, and refining each element until the story feels complete. I often spend many hours, sometimes tens of hours, on a single design.

While I work with digital design tools and licensed design assets as part of that process, I do not use generative AI to create my label artwork.

As Stardust & Stems grows, there will be many roles I hope to delegate, but the creative direction and design of my labels isn’t something I foresee ever handing over to another visual artist any more than I would hand over the formulation of the perfume to another perfumer. I have a very particular vision for the world and story surrounding each perfume, and the visual art is as much a part of creating that world for me as the fragrance itself.

My hope is that when you hold one of my perfumes, you feel not only the scent, but the story, the care, and the countless little decisions that went into making it whole.
