Returns/Exchanges
Due to the nature of our products being personal care items, we do not accept returns or exchanges. All perfumes are hand-blended and bottled in-house, by hand, by me, specifically for each individual order.
As a one-woman, handmade business, this policy is in place to ensure the health and safety of all customers, to keep products untouched and uncontaminated, and to protect the integrity of my work. For this reason, all sales are final.
10 ml Oil-Based Rollerballs: Temperature & Leakage Information
Because the carrier oil naturally responds to temperature, these rollerball perfumes may temporarily thicken, become cloudy, or partially solidify during cold weather or winter shipping. This is completely normal and does not affect the quality, scent, or performance of the perfume. Once allowed to sit at room temperature, the perfume will return to its normal consistency on its own.
During colder months, temperature fluctuations in transit — including below-freezing conditions — may increase the likelihood of minor rollerball leakage. Unless packages are shipped with active heating (which is not feasible for standard shipping), temporary texture changes and minor leakage during cold weather are unavoidable.
Rollerball Bottles & Leakage
Rollerball bottles are a widely used format for oil-based perfumes but have inherent limitations. Despite careful filling, capping, and packaging, it is not possible to guarantee that rollerball bottles will never experience minor leakage during transit. Movement, air pressure changes, and temperature fluctuations can all cause small amounts of oil to work their way around the rollerball.
For this reason, rollerball perfumes are intentionally not filled to the absolute brim as a precaution against leakage. Even with these measures, minor leakage is considered normal and expected. The smallest amount of leakage can sometimes affect the label, even when there is no meaningful loss of product.
If a rollerball label is damaged due to minor leakage, a replacement label will be provided at no cost upon request.
However, rollerball bottles are not eligible for replacement or refund unless there is significant leakage, defined as a visible loss of more than approximately 10% of the bottle’s contents. Because rollerball bottles are 10 ml in size, a loss of 10% equals approximately 1 ml of product, which would be clearly visible as a noticeable drop in fill level. Minor residue, dampness around the rollerball, or label damage alone does not qualify as significant leakage.
Customers who wish to avoid the possibility of rollerball leakage are encouraged to select an atomizer format instead, which is far less prone to leakage during transit.
By purchasing a 10 ml rollerball perfume, you acknowledge and accept the inherent characteristics of oil-based perfumes and this bottle style.
Damages
If your product arrives damaged, please contact tararose@stardustandstems.com within 24 hours of delivery. Include clear photos of the damaged item and packaging so the issue can be assessed. Each case is reviewed individually, and an appropriate solution will be offered when applicable. For damages related to leaking rollerballs, please see the section above.
Cancellations
Cancellations can be accommodated only if requested before a shipping label has been printed. Once a shipping label has been printed, cancellations cannot be processed.

Shipping Delays & Lost Packages
Once an order has been shipped, transit times are determined by the carrier and are outside of our control.
Packages are not considered lost until they have been in transit for more than 30 days from the original ship date. If a package has not arrived after this time, please contact us at tararose@stardustandstems.com and we will review the situation and offer an appropriate resolution, which may include a replacement or refund.
Due to USPS claim processing requirements and the nature of operating as a small business, replacements cannot be sent prior to the 30-day mark.
If a package is marked as delivered by USPS but not received, responsibility transfers to the carrier. In these cases, customers must contact their local USPS office directly and file a claim.
